Today the Texas Ethics Commission fined former City Rep. Claudia Lizette Rodriguez $1,000 for violating Sections 253.003(b), 253.094, 254.031(a)(1), and 254.031(a)(6) of the Texas Election Code.
You will recall that attorney and District 6 resident Arnulfo Hernandez filed multiple complaints against Rodriguez for the many glaring problems in her campaign finance reports. (see below)
The imposition of such a civil penalty on a sitting El Paso City Council representative is unprecedented.
