Adam Powell of the El Paso Times reports that former city rep. Claudia Lizette Rodriguez has been fined $1,000 by the Texas Ethics Commission for multiple violations. This includes accepting a campaign donation from a corporation, which is expressly forbidden, and failing to properly document her political contributions.
In December, Rodriguez lost her bid for re-election by a double-digit margin.
