Vic Kolenc of the El Paso Times is reporting what we reported more than one month ago, that El Paso’s Director of Economic and International Development, Elizabeth Triggs, resigned to join the administration of former El Paso City Manager Tommy Gonzalez in Midland.

We wish the people of Midland the best of luck with their new administration, but advise them to button their pockets tightly.

We were hoping that Deputy City Manager Tracey Jerome, who is probably the most unqualified employee of the City of El Paso, would split as well, but the word on the street is that we will be stuck with her for awhile longer.

We have drawn up a deck of cards of City employees who should be rounded up and fired, but so far only the Ace of Spades and Queen of Diamonds have been shown the door.
