Last month we reported that the Public Interest Research Group the U.S. Public Interest Research Group and the Frontier Group identified the project to widen Interstate 10 in Downtown El Paso as a major “boondoggle.”

Now Adam Powell of the El Paso Times has published a similar story: “The Public Interest Research Group — a national think tank focused on issues like public health, transportation and consumer protection — recently identified the El Paso interstate project as one of the worst “boondoggles” in the nation.”

Powell’s report is worth reading in its entirety.
