Below I reported how much money the Hunts, Margos and Foster contributed to City Council races as of early November. It is time to update the figures.

ANALISA SILVERSTEIN

According to her current campaign finance disclosure, Silverstein has received $5,000 from the Hunts, $10,000 from Foster, and $1,000 from the Margos for a total of $16,000, representing 84.2% of funds raised. If we add the $13,000 she received from them previously, that makes $29,000. Her opponent Brian Kennedy received zero.

CLAUDIA RODRIGUEZ

According to item 16 of the current City Council agenda, Rodriguez recently received $10,000 from the Hunts, $10,000 from Foster, and $1,000 from the Margos for a total of $21,000, representing 73% of funds raised. If we add the $14,500 she received from them previously, that makes $35,500. Her opponent Art Fierro received zero.

BETTINA OLIVARES

According to her current campaign finance disclosure, Olivares has received $10,000 from the Hunts and $10,000 from Foster, and $1,000 from the Margos for a total of $21,000, representing 62.2% of funds raised. If we add the $2,500 she received previously, that makes $23,500. Her opponent Chris Canales had previously received an unsolicited contribution of $1,000 from Hunt but nothing from the three families since the November 8 election, obviously because his platform does not align with their agenda.

FAIR DATA AND CHRIS HERNANDEZ

I previously reported that in the run-up to the November 8 general election, Fair Data and three of its managing partners collectively received $75,487.58in compensation to aid the campaigns of all four Oligarchy candidates. Now we learn that Silverstein paid Fair Data $754.79 for texting and one of its managing partners, Chris Hernandez, $3,500 to serve as her Field Director. Olivares paid Fair Data $2,196.29 and Hernandez $1,750. We do not yet have Rodriguez’s latest finance report so we don’t know how much she paid Carlos Sierra and/or Fair Data.

In summary, the Hunts, Margos and Foster have contributed $88,000to City Council races this election cycle. So far Fair Data and its partners have been compensated $83,688.66 that we know about, to support Oligarchy candidates.

The Oligarchs are panicking because they have understood they may lose their grip on City Council next week.

If you want to know whom to vote for, that is easy. Just vote for the candidates who received little or no money from the Hunts, Margos and Foster and who paid no money to Fair Data or its managing partners.
