Today I received the attached notice from Nicholas Espinosa, the attorney for the Texas Ethics Commission who processed my complaint against Analisa Silverstein, who littered District 1 with campaign signs lacking the required legal notice.

The letter informs me that there has been a final disposition of my complaint.

Under Texas Government Code ยง571.140, the terms of the disposition are confidential. I do not know whether Silverstein denied the allegation or whether she was fined and/or required to take corrective action.

But here’s what I do know.

The four defective signs cited in my complaint as examples of her violation are still there, including the one in front of her home.

Is this the kind of behavior we should expect from Silverstein if she were elected to represent City District 1?

Fortunately, we won’t need to find out.
