Dear Media and Friends,
There are five representatives on City Council, aka the Oligarch Caucus, who still refuse to abandon the sinking ship that is the City’s half-billion-dollar multipurpose basketball arena.
They are okay with using eminent domain for an entertainment purpose, displacing our most vulnerable citizens and destroying historical assets at the behest of their elite campaign donors, issuing more COs to pay for the massive cost overrun, and raising our taxes even higher to finance the additional debt servicing.
Yet, an ongoing parade of media reports continues to expose the corruption and financial malfeasance that underlie this project.
