Jennifer Cuevas of KFOX14 reported that she was prevented from interviewing a County attorney.

She quickly learned that the media may no longer contact staff about items which the Commissioners Court has not yet discussed.

County Judge Ricardo Samaniego told Cuevas that the policy change was needed to control misinformation and provide transparency.

It is interesting that the County is limiting media access in the wake of a public backlash against increasing our property tax, issuing hundreds of millions in new debt, and raising the salaries of the Judge and Commissioners by double digits.

Something is amiss on San Antonio Avenue.
