Dear Media:

This past Thursday, oral argumentin my lawsuit in the 8th Court of Appeals in El Paso began at 10:00am and continued for 86 minutes.

Some months earlier, on October 24, the City of El Paso had filed a motion to reconsider the Court’s stay order granting me emergency relief in an effort to remove the injunction against demolition of the buildings within the “Arena Footprint.”

I can now tell you that only hours after oral argument, the Court issued an Order denying the City’s motion and announcing that the “stay order will remain in effect pending further order” and that a “final merits decision from this Court remains pending.”

I look forward to the Court’s final ruling.
