Renard Johnson, the Oligarchy candidate for Mayor whose brother and former business partner was indicted for a $3 million Ponzi scheme, reportedly raised $297,920.50 during the first six months of 2024 but burned through $187,693.96 by the end of June.

All those political consultants and professional finessers are very expensive, especially because they must persuade the voters of the impossible: that Johnson will “invest” in a galaxy of large capital improvement projects while lowering our taxes.

Good luck with that. It worked great for Margo…

We just saw on Johnson’s campaign Instagram page that he is offering “exciting opportunities” to anyone who wants to work for his campaign.

Yes, you can sign up to be a Graphics Intern, Video Intern, Fall Campaign Intern, or Paid Blockwalker (presumably the only paid position being offered) and develop wonderful skills, like dropping doorhangers on doorknobs!

That is, you can assist the campaign of a politician who plans to raise your taxes while doling out corporate welfare to three dozen elite families.

Nice.
