The El Paso Taxpayer Revolt is proud to endorse Lily Limón for City District 7. She is the fiscally conservative candidate for that district and has already been endorsed by Mayor Oscar Leeser and City Rep. Brian Kennedy.
Limón was born and raised in El Paso and is an educator by profession. She attended Austin High School and earned both a BS and Masters of Education Administration at UTEP.
She served as El Paso City Representative of District 7 in 2013-2017, during which she voted against three budgets that increased our property tax, came out in opposition to the arena project, and supported historic preservation. She never once voted for a certificate of obligation.
Most importantly, we can affirm that Limón always, without fail, kept her word, which is a rare quality in any elected leader.
If elected to City Council, she will join Mayor Leeser and Reps. Kennedy, Molinar, and Fierro in opposing reckless deficit-spending, certificates of obligation, wasteful capital improvements projects, and corporate welfare and stand firmly with the taxpayers of El Paso.
Her opponents are Alan Serna, who accepted a contribution of $1,000 from Steve Ortega (that is all we need to know), and Fabiola Campos Lopez, who ignored multiple requests to respond to us.
We invite you to watch our 28-minute interview with Mrs. Limón to learn more about her.
