All five former candidates for City District 1 have endorsed Brian Kennedy, who won 41.28% of the vote on election night: Lauren Ferris, Davy Jones, Freddy Khlayel, Deliris MontaƱez-Berrios, and Erin Tague.

None have endorsed Analisa Cordova Silverstein, who got 25.29%.

There is no doubt that Kennedy is far more qualified for the job than Silverstein, given his extensive business experience, his determination to reign in borrowing and spending, and his fierce opposition to high taxation.

There is nothing in Silverstein’s resume that would qualify her to manage a $1.1 billion budget. Absolutely zero. On the contrary, there is every indication that she would help lead our city over a financial cliff if elected.

The runoff election is scheduled for December 17.
