Mayor Renard Johnson campaigned on lowering our City property tax but has now presided over the second increase in a row since assuming office.
Just before yesterday’s final vote to increase the property tax more than 6% on the average-valued single-family residence, Johnson stated “I would strongly recommend we support [City Manager Mack] that’s running the City in what she’s asking for.”
Please contact us at the El Paso Taxpayer Revolt if you are interested in leading a campaign to recall Johnson from office. We have 75 volunteers ready to assist.
