Born in Washington, DC, Kenneth Bell has served in the Army for 12 years and is now a reservist. He has resided in District 3 since 2016 and is running for City Council.
We interviewed Mr. Bell about his political positions, his opinion of the current District 3 representative, Cassandra Hernandez, and his philosophy of government.
Mr. Bell believes in fiscal restraint and government transparency and supports the policies of Mayor Oscar Leeser but has a long history of supporting progressive causes. He backed the controversial Proposition K climate measure, which the voters overwhelmingly rejected, and recently served as President of the Justicia Fronteriza PAC, which he co-founded with Veronica Carbajal.
