How did it become a role of our City government to provide us with waterparks, ballparks, arenas and other forms of entertainment?
How did it become a role of our City government to provide taxpayer subsidies to corporations whose purpose is to provide entertainment?
How did our City government empower itself to use eminent domain to seize private property for an entertainment purpose?
How did our City government empower itself to issue hundreds of millions of dollars of debt without voter approval, in part to pay for entertainment?
We now have the second highest homestead tax rate among the 50 largest cities in the United States and more per capita CO debt than the five largest Texas cities combined.
At what point will those responsible feel remorse?
