Kerry Mannix of KVIA is reporting that Interim City Manager Cary Westin has unilaterally terminated the City gas card program in the wake of the scandalous abuse of this privilege by Rep. Cassandra Hernandez and former City Rep. Claudia Lizette Rodriguez.
Neither Hernandez nor Rodriguez have apologized, although Hernandez refunded to the City the total amount of gas she purchased in 2022.
Tomorrow at 10:00 am Hernandez will attend a hearing of the Ethics Review Commission to respond to a complaint made against her by District 3 resident George Zavala.
