Joyce Wilson, the former City Manager who set our City on a path of deficit-spending and high taxation, stated in an opinion essay today that “Josh Acevedo, who’s been on City Council less than a year, is the only incumbent worthy of re-election.”
You read that correctly!
The bloviating leftist of District 2 not only accepted contributions from Houghton, Ortega, Hunt, and Francis, but is now the favorite of Joyce, the destroyer of City Hall who gave us an insolvent Ballpark, botched the rollout of the Quality of Life Bond, and left the City with only nine days of reserve operating funds when she left office in 2014.
It would have been better for Josh if he had been endorsed by Genghis Kahn.
The first red flag was when he rewarded his predecessor Alexsandra Annello by hiring her husband to be his Legislative Aide. That was followed by an endless series of muddled speeches and confused votes, leaving his progressive base utterly perplexed.
Fortunately, there is an excellent alternative to this flip-flopping vendido.
