On Wednesday the Austin City Council voted 10-1 to fire their City Manager, Spencer Cronk, who held his position since 2018.
Cronk, who is paid a base salary of $388,190 will receive a severance of $463,002, including one year of salary and 240 hours of vacation payout.
In other news, this past December 13 the City Council of Odessa voted 5-2 to fire both their City Manager and City Attorney.
El Paso City Manager Tommy Gonzalez has held his position since 2014 and earns a base salary of $424,595. If he were terminated, the City would have to pay him $1,000,000.
