Reporter Jeff Abbot covers County politics for the El Paso Times and invited the incumbent for County Judge, Ricardo Samaniego, and his Republican challenger, Minerva Torres Shelton, to submit a questionnaire for the benefit of voters, but only Minerva complied.
Apparently Samaniego did not want to answer tough questions and face the voters, given his nightmare voting record and the fact he sold out to the big developers and their bankers and attorneys.
When he is not drunk, pretending to buy Lamborghinis, or running around with his girlfriends, he is busy issuing hundreds of millions in new debt, increasing our taxes, and promoting the Debt Plaza.zxv .,m
He may very well be the most useless elected leader ever to hold local office. The only purpose he seems to serve is to obey Foster, Hunt, and his other elite contributors.

Samaniego and several of his supporters have repeatedly characterized her as a MAGA Republican, even though she has never once cited Trump on any of her platforms. Apparently that is their only defense against her common-sense fiscal conservatism.
Samaniego’s record is so abysmal and he is so deeply unpopular with his constituents that he may be the first Democratic incumbent politician to lose to a Republican in a County-wide race.
Frankly we would vote for Scooby-Doo before voting for him.
