We have no doubt it is attracting a lot of attention from El Pasoans who suffer from our crushing property tax.
While it is true that many prominent Republicans support tax-and-spend policies and contribute generously to the election campaigns of local Democrats, it is also true that many Republicans fiercely oppose deficit-spending and tax increases.
On the one hand are the elite RINOs, such as former mayor Dee Margo and former city manager Tommy Gonzalez. On the other hand are the fiscally conservative Republicans who report to work every day, make their mortgage and utilities payments, pay their taxes with quiet resignation, and raise their children.
The bottom line is that the Democrats have been at the helm for years and our property tax continues to rise.
