Cassandra Hernandez is campaigning to be Mayor of El Paso in spite of her Letter of Reprimand for stealing taxpayer-funded gasoline and her abysmal voting record on taxes and bonds.
Striving to seem as mayoral as possible, on her Instagram last night she posted an interview conducted with CNN in May in which she discussed the migrant surge preceding the end of Title 42.
She stated: “I don’t wanna take resources from our office of emergency management, our Police and Fire departments…”
Was it appropriate for a City Council Representative to behave like the Mayor of El Paso on a national stage?
She spoke as if she has the power to unilaterally allocate resources during emergencies, but she is not the Mayor and does not have the authority to represent anyone other than the residents of City District 3.
