In August I reported that the Trost-designed Mathias Mansion, erected in 1912 at 607 W. Yandell, was going to be converted by a local investor into a B & B, much to the consternation of neighborhood residents. (see below)
I am happy to tell you that the home was purchased by a lovely couple from North Carolina who are going to be excellent custodians of the property. I toured the building with my UTEP students on Monday and was impressed by the new owners.
This story had a happy ending!
