The Texas Democratic Convention was held in El Paso from June 6 to June 8. All your favorites were there: Veronica Escobar, Beto O’Rourke, and so many others who demand more spending, higher taxation, and an expansion of government power.
Also present was a group calling itself “Texas Democrats for a Free Palestine,” which hosted an information booth focusing on Zionist crimes against humanity, including genocide, as if Israel were aiming for the extinction of the Palestinians. Never mind that 1.6 million Palestinians live peacefully inside Israel and enjoy more freedom than any other Arabs in the Middle East, with the rights of women, gays, and religious and ethnic minorities fully protected by law.
Xavier Miranda, a local school teacher and anti-Israel activist, reports on his Facebook page that the same group planned a series of teach-ins on the “history of Zionist ethnic cleansing” (among other fun topics) but that the owners of the Hotel Paso del Norte “reneged” on hosting the event.
With all due respect to Mr. Miranda, most Americans understand that when you invade a sovereign nation, murder more than 1,100 unarmed civilians (including babies), kidnap or rape hundreds of others, and then announce you are going to do the same thing again and again, you are going to be annihilated by the Israel Defense Forces and, because of your cowardice, many bystanders will be killed.
War is always tragic but history shows that it is sometimes inevitable. Americans killed many millions of unarmed civilians during World War II and laid waste to entire nations, but no one ever accused them of warmongering or genocide.
You see, only when Gaza is liberated from Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Iranians and their proxies are expelled from the region will there be any hope for peace.
