The City of El Paso has published yet another Strategic Plan.
While I am encouraged that there seems to be no displacement or mass demolition, this document is clearly a product of the pre-January 3 City Council, when the Oligarchy Caucus was still in the majority, guided by City Manager Tommy Gonzalez, and spending us into a gigantic bottomless abyss.
Rich Wright of El Chuqueño has published an outstanding analysis of this plan.
I am certain that whatever is in there will now be subject to a thorough review by the current City Council, which so far has made mostly excellent decisions and is taking us in a new and positive direction.
