According to our atomic Gassandra Clock, which is accurate to the nanosecond, Gassandra has only 29 days left in office.
But don’t believe for a second that the tax-and-spend progressive, who voted to increase our property tax six times and issue nearly $400 million in non-voter-approved debt, will disappear from El Paso politics.
You see, she has been reincarnated as Renard Johnson, who is funded by the big developers and their bankers and attorneys, shady Republican PACs, and a gaggle of mysterious investors in Austin and San Antonio.
Renard claims he will lower our property tax even though our City must issue $600 million in voter-approved general obligation bonds starting in FY 2026 because of the 2019 Public Safety Bond and the 2022 Community Progress Bond, both of which passed before Brian Kennedy assumed office.
Renard is a liar and the Vendido in Chief, and he repeatedly attacks Kennedy for telling the truth.
In his moral outlook, Renard is so much like Gassandra that we find it difficult to tell them apart, and it does not surprise us that he enthusiastically accepted her endorsement.
They are both progressives who pretend to be fiscally conservative.
They are both dishonest and willing to lie to the media and voting public to get ahead.
They both believe in bonding large entertainment projects that will increase our taxes while they tell us that El Paso deserves better.
Please do not let Renard buy City Hall with his $1 million hoard of Oligarchy cash. The last thing El Paso needs is a reincarnated Gassandra presiding over City Council.
Vote for Brian Kennedy for Mayor! Early voting ends tomorrow and Election Day is December 14.
