“People are reporting on social media posts that bills have substantially increased. Some are seeing increases of 40%-50%, and some residents have seen their bills more than double. Some reported having bills near or over $600.
The reported increases are well above the average 13.5% increase El Paso Electric officials have said Texas residential customers would see from a rate increase approved by Texas regulators this year. The higher rates began showing up on bills issued on and after June 1, an EPE spokesperson said.”
