EPISD is creating a new Finance Committee that will be staffed by seven members chosen by the Board of Trustees.
Trustee Valerie Beals of District 6 has appointed Jenny Solo of ToDoElPaso and Trustee Daniel Call of District 7 has appointed Dr. Max Grossman of the El Paso Taxpayer Revolt.
With their decision, Beals and Call are placing two of the most committed financial watchdogs where they can closely monitor the finances of EPISD and provide advice on revenues, expenditures, bonding, and tax rates.
