“When you look at the I-10 Deck Project you can’t help but feel like it’s the best thing since the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. But when reality sets in your mind is filled with questions, like how will taxpayers benefit, or will it be a financial burden?

The city stated that the cost would be $207 million, but the Stantec Consulting Services put a total cost of $412 million. What will be the final cost and how much will it be over budget?

I-10 is a major interstate, utilized by thousands of motorists and that’s not including the semis traveling through. How is traffic going to be diverted around the construction site?

Now we hear the I-10 expansion project to increase travel lanes by TxDOT will take place about the same time and place as the I-10 Deck project. Is that a coincidence or did we know about it beforehand?

What’s next, a subway system like the one in New York City?”
