KVIA and the Associated Press are reporting that the COVID-19 fatality rate in Ciudad Juárez has reached 22%, with “282 recorded deaths and 1,281 confirmed cases to date.”
Common sense would dictate, however, that the number of COVID-19 cases in Ciudad Juárez must be something like ten times the reported figure.
That is the only way to explain the double-digit fatality rate.
I think KVIA should re-calculate its figure in order to avoid sowing panic unnecessarily.
